As most of you know, Michael held a live-web interview on the
23rd March 2005 as part of the official launch of the new
England Kit. Fans were asked to send their questions via
www.umbro.com
to Michael. Well thousands of questions were received, but
only a lucky few had their questions picked! This is what
happened to a very lucky Michael Owen fan called Christinna!
Read her story below! "I'm from Denmark and I'm a huge fan
of Michael. When I read on michaelowen-online that I
could send a question to Michael and maybe have it answered
by him at the new kit launch, I did it immediately. I never
expected my question to be selected, but was of course
hoping so much! On the day of the kit launch I was checking
my mail and saw that there was a mail from
Umbro. I opened it and it said that my question was selected
to be answered by Michael. I got sooo happy. I called and
sms'ed all my friends to tell them the news, and they were
all so happy for me (even though they are getting sick of me
talking about Michael all the time...:-)! I was shaking all
over and I had tears in my eyes - I was so happy! It was
amazing for me seeing Michael answering my question because
he was indirectly talking to me!! :-) That made me even more
happier, and I was shaking even more and started crying of
happiness!! After the interview I called and sms'ed all my
friends again to
tell them that Michael really did answer my question, what
my question was and what he answered. All my friends knew
how much it meant to me as the huge Michael Owen fan I am,
and I can tell you that it was the best day for a long, long
time!!"
The question I asked Michael was: Which memory is your
happiest with England??
Michaels answer: "The 5-1 victory in Germany was
fantastic, but I have a lot of great memories with England,
like scoring against Argentina when I was a young boy,
playing European Championships and World Cups, scoring in
the quarter final against Brazil in the World Cup 2002,
scoring against Portugal in the quarter final at the Euro
2004 even though we didn't manage to keep the lead. But
scoring against Argentina is my happiest memory!" |
