Josy with Michael

The greatest moment of my life has been meeting Michael Owen, I met him on July 18,2005 in Marina del rey, california during real madrids USA tour. It however all started on the 17th me and my friend went to the training and i was just soo excited about seeing him!

I remember just about 90% of the people there were there to see Beckham and me I have to confess to a HUGE hatred towards madrid so it was a huge sacrifice to go see them but Michael was worth it, well he finally came out and they started running around the pitch and I was the only person there waving my Owen jersey and screaming his name and I caught his attention he was running with one of the madrid players and they pointed at me and Michael waved and smiled and it was just this amazing feeling, we all thought that at the end of the training they would sign autographs but they didn't, so me and my friend decided to go to the hotel the next day.

We got to the hotel at 12 and there were people outside we got to meet some of the Madrid players when they were walking in and out of the hotel but Michael decided to skip the shopping and sightseeing and stay in the hotel instead so i had to wait for them to leave for the match in order to see him. The bus came to pick them up at around 5, I was right up against the security rope which i was told very firmly not to cross and i thought i would be able to follow directions, the real Madrid players came out most of them were not very nice and i was scared that michael was gonna burst my bubble and be what i didnt expect him to be since the other players chose to ignore the fans.

He came out one of the last ones and the minute he stepped out I couldn't resist and crossed the security rope (oops) he didnt mind and he took pictures with some fans there and then he looked at me and smiled and signed my england jersey I told him "can i have a picture?" and he said "yes of course" i was in HEAVEN we took the picture and without knowing i was holding onto his arm (haha) i said "thank you" and he said "sure no problem" and smiled and walked away after Beckham came out noone was behind the security rope so i decided to go and look at the team bus! I walked by and saw Zidane and the lot and i couldnt find michael i was walking and looked up and I saw him and he smiled at me!!! so i took a seat on the side curb in front of his and beckhams window (they were sitting one in front of the other) and i got becks to wave at me but most importantly michael was being cute! he kept waving and smiling and it was just great! i will never forget that day! here are some pictures of that day
